Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cellular Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor claimed that the dog was bloodied and distressed after a groomer had taped Jujur’s lips shut.

Taylor recalled, "My dog clearly was in distress. What I initially believed was a mask turned out be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

Puppy Lux - a mobile salon for pets - employed the groomer to perform these actions.

James took Juju right away to the doctor for emergency treatment. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo has launched an investigation to determine if the company is guilty of animal cruelty.

James described the injuries he observed, stating, "I noticed wounds near the joints, around the neck, and in the genital area. These cuts were so bad that they bled."

Jack Smithr is a Puppy Lux customer who posted a Yelp Review about his pet being returned injured or ill. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared, "Jonny informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He also mentioned that he animal abuse report personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Fox called Puppy Lux and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Fox that they were looking into the allegations. However, when questioned about Puppy Lux, she quickly asserted that it was a separate entity before abruptly ending the call.
